ARTIST: I think you're just so pleasant

You probably don't even know it, but you've already fallen for Zooey Deschanel's voice. Remember that cute little department store clerk in Elf - the one who stole Will Ferrell's heart while singing "Baby it's Cold Outside" in the shower? Yeah, that's the girl I'm talking about. Well now she's the other half to She & Him, crooning alongside the wonderfully quirky and versatile M.Ward - and the two end up being an unlikely, but pretty dang impressive pair.

They team up for the first time to give us Volume One (out in March)- a folky little offering, plush with Zooey's soulful vocals and Ward's playful arrangements and clickety-clack guitar rhythms. On this track, barroom piano melodies bounce around between Zooey's sugary harmonies, and the doo-doo-ing outro is nothing short of folky pop perfection. If this isn't our generation's Johnny Cash/June Carter dream duo, then I don't know who will be. Please have a listen and feel free to fall in love...
